Mixing Instructions: Yellow Cake Mix 6/5lb

Directions:
5 lbs Yellow Cake Mix
5 cups Water

1. Pour 1/2 of the total water into mixer bowl; add cake mix.
2. Mix on low speed* using a paddle for 2 minutes.
3. Add remaining water gradually over 1 minute while mixing on low speed.
4. Scrape bowl and paddle.
5. Mix on low speed* for 2 minutes.
6. Scale batter into greased and floured or paper-lined baking pans.
For muffins or layer cake fill 2/3 full and adjust oven temperature and bake time.
7. Bake at 350⁰F for 30 to 35 minutes in a standard oven.**
(In a convection oven bake at 300⁰F for 25 to 30 minutes.)
*Low speed is 1st speed on a 3 speed mixer and 2nd on a 4 speed mixer.
**Bake time may require adjustment depending on the oven and oven load.
Yield: 5 lbs. of cake mix makes one 18 X 26 inch sheet cake.
