Mixing Instructions: Creamy Mushroom Soup Starter, No MSG Added* 15lb

Original Recipe:

¾ cup Soup Starter mix
2½ cups water (or for a richer soup, use
1½ cups of water and 1 cup
whole milk)

In a medium saucepan, stir soup starter
mix into water. Over low heat, bring to a
simmer with frequent stirring. Simmer on
low for 10 minutes, stirring often. Remove
from heat, cover and let stand for 5
minutes before serving.

Makes 3 – 8oz servings.

Options: Add extra mix to taste to make a
gravy for Salisbury steak or meatloaf.

Alternate Recipe:
Easy Beef Stroganoff

1 lb ground beef
8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 tsp garlic powder
3 cups water
2 cups milk
2 cups Creamy Mushroom Soup Starter mix
6 oz sour cream
1 - 8 oz package wide egg noodles, cooked, drained and buttered

In a frying pan, sauté ground beef, mushrooms and garlic powder until ground beef is cooked thoroughly and browned. Drain and transfer to a large saucepan. Add water, milk and soup starter mix. Stir and let stand for 5 minutes. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir in sour cream and remove from heat. Serve over hot buttered noodles.
