White Hominy (Corn) Grits

Hominy is corn that has been stripped of their bran and germ. Especially popular in the south, whole or ground hominy is boiled until it's tender and then served as a side dish. It can also be served as a cereal, vegetable and can even be made into patties and fried.

Cooking Instructions

3 cups water 1/2 tsp. salt 1 cup grits Bring water and salt to a boil. Add grits and reduce heat. Cook slowly for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, cover and let stand for a couple minutes. Makes 4 gererous servings. Product information/materials may change.
